So we finally began injections for our first IVF cycle on Tuesday.  I’m starting with 150 Bravelle and 75 Menopur once each evening.  The first night I have to admit that I was a little nervous.  My hand was shaking as I was injecting the syringe.  But it was not bad at all!  It was so much easier than I expected.  It wasn’t painful at all and the medication only stings a little bit as it goes in.  The second and third nights have been a piece of cake!

Tomorrow morning at 7:15AM we have our first ultrasound and bloodwork appointment.  Hopefully everything is going as it should in my body.  If everything is looking good I will add in Ganirelix once each morning.

We are super excited and anxious and we can’t even believe that we are finally at this point.  It’s hard to believe that by the end of next week we should be having our egg retrieval and then the big day of the transfer just a few days later!  CRAZY!!!

I will try to write an update tomorrow after we find out the results from our appointment.

Please keep us in your prayers!  Thank you so much!!!

Quick update

We had our injection class on Tuesday and I have to say that I am so much less nervous and stressed about everything.  We were the only couple in our class, so the one on one with the nurse was fantastic.  We had all of our questions answered and I feel much more confident about the whole process.  Apparently I am going to be very low dose of meds and I only will be doing one injection each evening at first, a mix of menopur and bravelle (i was so excited to find I can take both of those meds in one injection)  Then I will add the ganirellix injection when told to do so.  All of those are such tiny needles.  Hubby was happy to find out he will only have to do the trigger injection (now that’s a scary needle! lol).   We have our pre injections blood work and ultrasound on the 21st, and begin injections on the 24th.
